LibraryThingie.

So I signed up for LibraryThing and spent the afternoon cataloguing most of my book collection online. There are a few more books left, but that's the basic set as it exists here in Singapore; the set in my room in Hyderabad is much more extensive and is completely unlisted here.

Always wanted to catalogue my collection, and found this to be a nifty site, although being used to Flickr, it does feel a tad unpolished at times. Still, worth a dekko; do browse through my catalogue when you have the time. Will be putting up reviews and ratings soon.

As you can see, I've now put up that band thingie to your right showing five random books from my collection each time you refresh this page. Note that there's some Amazon referral tag stuff going on in there; if you click those book images, you'll be taken to Amazon.com, and if you choose to buy that book, there's some cut involved for me. Didn't mean to advertise, but I wanted those book-cover images in there, and there's no way I can get those without signing up for Amazon's referral program (or hand over that to someone else). The text-links are finance-free though; they'll take you to my profile on LibraryThing.com. No commissions here.

Nevertheless, must admit that the whole widget is butt-ugly; I'd like to reduce the size of the text somehow, and have been running against a brick wall. Suggestions welcome.
