The Chindian Menace.

More aspiration for Asia and perspiration for the West (Businessweek via Rediff):
As Cisco's Scheinman puts it: "We came to India for the costs, we stayed for the quality, and we're now investing for the innovation."

I'm unimpressed, however, for all the regular reasons; loads of fluff and what-can-be's, with insufficient analysis on why present trends will be sustainable in the future.

They just say it within the Asian media, but when they go back to West, they wear a new mask altogether. It happens all the time anyways. Anyways Indians should not be working for MNCs, we need more Indian brands - Infosys, Wipro and TCS is all we've got. I wonder why there are no Baidus or Alibabas in India?

Maybe it's the easy way out?

When the megalomart starts taking over the town's local businesses, you have no choice but to sign-up I suppose.

Hopefully, some start-ups will come up and garner the Indian market. Let's wait and see.
